Why the Foundation Exists

Women judges bring experience, perspective and leadership that strengthen the administration of justice. The Foundation was created to provide an institutional space where serving and retired women judges can exchange knowledge, build professional capacity, support one another and contribute to the wider development of Nepal’s justice system.

It also seeks to connect judges with courts, government bodies, professional associations, academic institutions, civil society organizations and international judicial networks.

How We Work

The Foundation works through research, training, seminars, conferences, professional exchange, publications, policy dialogue, partnerships and public engagement. Its activities are designed to strengthen professional excellence, promote institutional cooperation and increase the meaningful participation of women in judicial leadership.
